Joshua, that's an interesting idea to talk about. As you mentioned, It's true that many religions have their own story of creation. If you think in science perspective, the creation of human race is not quiet a myth. Charles Darwin's theory of evolution proves the idea that human have developed from primates, likely to be chimpanzee, through the natural selection. Natural selection is the idea that If the population over-reach the number, the new species will be created with the best characteristics amongst the population.
